We've joined forces with WQMS Structural and Welding experts to offer for the first time a specialised training package targeted for compliance to Qld Recognised Standard 22 for Supervisors + Superintendents who lead workers exposed to Hot Work activities.

If you're an SSE/Project Manager or Maintenance Manager who is responsible for Hot Work and those people who perform it, then you’re going to want to read this.

In particular, if you’re at a Coal Mine in Queensland then Recognised Standard 22 specifically sets our your obligations delegated from the Site Senior Executive (SSE) as Risk Owner of that Material Unwanted Event (MUE).

Part of those obligations include the Design and Establishment of a Hot Work Management System and importantly, the competency requirements for those persons who supervise the workers who undertake the hot work tasks.

Whilst it seems simple to expect the worker performing the Hot Work have a trade or similar working experience with the tasks to be performed, what about the Supervisors, Superintendents and even yourself?

As Maintenance Manager, you’ve likely yourself got a trade background, or perhaps an Engineering undergraduate qualification - but how current is it, and does it provide you with the knowledge and understanding of the hazards in order to adequately fulfil your obligations to provide a safe place of work?

These 2 new self-paced, online training courses are designed to equip Risk Owners, Superintendents and Supervisors with the right level of knowledge and understanding of hot work hazards, risk management, and effective control requirements for the development and implementation of a Hot Work Management System (HWMS) to prevent incidents and ensure compliance with relevant safety and health regulations.

Follow the links below to go to the training courses, or reach out to us directly for more information about the courses and how they aid your WHS and SHMS obligations.
