Capturing on-the-job working experience “TREx”
Read the guide HERE
On-the-job working experience should be a key component of the competency requirements for positions on your s.55 Management Structure. My Competency Expert developed a process we call "TREx" (Time-based Record of Experience).
We're releasing our guide to TREx today - in the interest of sharing best-practices in mining Safety & Risk.
The purpose of this form is collect information related to your working experiences relevant for the SHMS. This guide is sent to persons who are being appointed onto the Management Structure to aid them in completing the TREx (“Time-Based Record of eXperience”) form, for which will have have been sent an email with a unique link from the My Competency Expert software.
Your own process of capturing experience doesn't need to be complex - but it does need to provide an auditable trail of the candidate's competency which the SSE should consider when making any Management Structure appointment.
Take a look at the attached user guide and you’ll see how we do things. Remember, if you're looking for an integrating, automated way of keeping your mine compliant with Recognised Standard 22, get in touch.
If you are that way inclined, you can read more of the details of RS22 here: https://www.mycompetency.expert/recognised-standard-22
