How BBRA hazards flow into your SHMS

So you finished your BBRA/whole-of-mine Risk Assessment? You're at just the beginning of your journey! Your entire Safety and Health Management System comes from the BBRA. Let's try to standardise terminology - I see so many variations to these terms across my mining clients. Unfortunately, each jurisdiction has differing legislated requirements, but this diagram is my attempt to put forward 'best practice' - stick to this and you should be compliant - no matter which jurisdiction you come under.

Finishing your BBRA is just the beginning. This image shows the various classifications of the hazards identified in the BBRA.

We've developed a tool for our MCE clients that enforces the site-specific (and sometimes legislation-specific) thresholds for Principal Hazards and MUEs - all stemming from the BBRA. My Competency Expert is a lot more than simply competencies - it's a toolbox of SHMS compliance aids.
